Quake 2 as a digital version for AmigaOS 4

Published 16.04.2024 - 15:15 by AndreasM

Alinea Computer is pleased to announce that it has taken over distribution of Quake 2 for AmigaOS 4. The first Amiga version of Quake 2 came from Hyperion Entertainment in 2002 and has continued in this tradition and been greatly improved.
Steffen Häuser is responsible for the porting and has implemented numerous improvements. In addition to supporting the various mission CDs and MODS, GL4ES/Warp3DNova support and playing the soundtracks as OGG Vorbis were also implemented.

The AmigaOS 4 version of Quake 2 costs 14.95 euros and is available for download from Amiga-Shop.net.
It should be noted that the data files of the PC version are required to operate the AmigaOS 4 version of Quake 2. These can be purchased via Steam, for example, at a reasonable price. [...]

Published 14.04.2024 - 22:44 by AndreasM

The WinFellow Team write:

We sometimes get asked about older releases of Fellow for DOS as well as WinFellow, for a variety of reasons. For this reason, a new History section has been established that you can visit in the menu at the top. The history section is a work in progress, let us know if you notice any issues or factual mistakes within it.

We also would like to ask for help: we no longer have access to all of the older releases, and would like to be able to preserve all of them for the future. If you have any Fellow versions that are listed as missing, it would be great if you could contact Torsten so that we can make them available on the website as well. [...]
