TORONTO, CANADA - July 20, 2021 - Indie gamedev studio Prismatic Realms, Inc. released a demo of its upcoming retro game music remake album entitled Epic Action Vol 1.

Each of the demo’s five abridged tracks are modern, Hollywood action film-style remakes of the in-game music and/or theme songs from classic Commodore 64 and Amiga games. The tracks represent the quality and style that listeners can expect of the final album when it’s complete.

The tracks found on the demo album are:

1.Master of Magic (Mastertronic) - C64
2.The Lost Patrol - Amiga
3.Ninja - C64
4.Dune (Ecolove) - Amiga
5.Hero Quest - Amiga

“I have always loved video game music, especially in games from earlier platforms,” said Nelson Santos, CEO and founder of Prismatic Realms. “I’m also a huge fan of action film theme songs. It was a no brainer for me to want to hear these two genres merged together in an exciting way and share the result with others. That’s what this album is all about.”

The studio has been drawing upon the past experiences of veteran game music album producers Chris Abbott and Matthew Smith to help maximize the success of this project. Of the demo album, Smith himself said, “[the tracks] sound absolutely tremendous. The demo album as a whole is a splendid indicator of what's to come; all the clips have a marvellous depth and variety to them, with a great deal of flair in the arrangements and a properly cinematic quality to the sounds used.”
