It's very difficult to judge from these photos. I suppose that the first photo is the top of the case and the second is the bottom. The contact on the first photo looks like a switch. You say that the cable on the second photo is not connected and it is on the bottom of the case while on the top of the case there is a contact which is not connected, too. Therefore I could imagine that the cable from the bottom should connect to the switch on the top of the case. It was probably disconnected when the case was opened.

had the same thoughts. Anyway, the disk was posted without screws, so when i took the disc out of the box(the original, but it was in poor condition), i had the 2 pieces seperate in my hand. The problem with the black conencter is, that it has 3 pins and the cable is only 2.

ok, the mentioned cable points to this(i think):
http://freebits.nl/image/mwB

dont know what its for, its a kind of a plug. problem is, that the black thing with the cables is in 2 pieces now. Because i dont know what its for, i dont know what to do.

2nd, the disc is spinning, so how can i use it? Can i copy disc to the drive? if so, how?

ok, according to this link:

http://www.bigbookofamigahardware.com/b ... _6_big.jpg

the mentioned cable is home made. Maybe it has got something to do with kickstart 1.2/1,3

anyway, its really nice that the discs still spins, 25 years old. My ssd's, will not make that :-)
